LIGHT INSTALLATION
SWIRL
FUGARA | IL
17
Rua Marques Leal Pancada
The installation explores the urban life as a perennial quest for the unattainable.
The 5 light cubes tell a story of evolution from space to man to machine. The cubes are made from laser-cut stainless steel and light. We use light as our material, to paint an ephemeral graffiti on a wall.
Inside each cube is an engine, a relay and some magic powder, so together they make the cubes spin. SWIRL moves with the crowd and paints the street with live images of light.
